We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at AGM Construction Recruitment. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites, overseeing site activities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety:
- Conduct regular health and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans and procedures.
- Ensure all site personnel are aware of and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Site Operations:
- Oversee site setup and ensure all necessary permits and approvals are in place.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor and control site costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all construction work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to identify and address any defects or issues.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain effective communication with site personnel, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regular site reports, including progress reports, quality control reports, and safety reports.
- Provide regular updates to the project manager and other stakeholders on site progress and any issues or concerns.
- Commercial Management:
- Manage site budgets and ensure all expenses are properly accounted for.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies.
- Monitor and control site inventory, including materials and equipment.
- Training and Development:
- Ensure all site personnel receive necessary training and development opportunities.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance site personnel skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- EUSR SHEA POWER certification.
- UKPIA (United Kingdom Petroleum Industry Association) certification.
- Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in site management and construction operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
