About the Sous Chef Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to support our talented Head Chef in the running and development of the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and performance from the chef team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting directly to the Head Chef and deputising in their absence
  • Working with the Head Chef to develop new menu ideas and improve our offering
  • Ensuring the food quality is at its highest standard at all times
  • Leading by example and motivating the chef team to achieve the highest standards
  • Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in conjunction with the Head Chef
  • Ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standard
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a CDP, senior CDP or Sous Chef
  • Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Leaving Cert level education or above
  • NVQ qualification or equivalent
  • Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
  • Flair and innovative with menus and food presentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
