About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Health and Safety Manager to join our team at CHEP. As a key member of our operations leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and stakeholders across our UK operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction on health and safety matters across our UK operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate health and safety risks across our operations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and internal policies, including internal processes such as CHEP's OSH&E Systems, Gap Audits & Action Plans, and Management Observation Tours & Observation System.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee health and safety competencies across all levels of the organization.
  • Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis: Lead and facilitate root cause investigations on all incidents and serious near miss reports to prevent recurrence and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Employee Wellbeing: Lead and promote employee wellbeing initiatives across the organization, including safety week, occupational health assessments, and other CHEP employee wellbeing initiatives.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Qualification
  • Driving License
  • Good Knowledge of Relevant National Health, Safety & Wellbeing Laws and Regulations
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Motivated Individual and Self-Starter
  • Good Knowledge of HSE Management Systems
  • Analytical Skills
