About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Nurse Manager to join our team at Operose Health. As a key member of our Regional Leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality nursing services across our network of GP practices.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing teams within the designated region to ensure the delivery of high-quality care
  • Provide leadership, supervision, support, and advice to Lead Nurses
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of all clinical aspects of nursing care to ensure clinical excellence
  • Support the Region with the recruitment and retention of nursing teams
  • Ensure an effective and practical induction for new Lead Nurses
  • Support with the training and development of the Lead Nurse and wider Nursing Team
  • Ongoing mentorship of the Lead Nursing team to support continued development
  • Providing input into the appraisals of Lead Nurses
  • Working in collaboration with the Senior Operations team to support the delivery of Nursing KPIs
  • Overseeing CQC nursing compliance
  • Ensure that all nursing staff are engaged with reporting and learning from incidents, complaints, and compliments
  • Regularly reviewing the performance of the practice NQITs and ensuring appropriate escalation of any persistent non-compliance
  • Supporting the organisation on the retention of Nursing staff
  • Develop and maintain an effective and informative regular Nurses forum
Requirements
  • Extensive clinical experience in Primary Care Health settings and leading nursing teams
  • Extensive experience of the primary care CQC inspections
  • Ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care
  • Be a great ambassador of the purpose, vision, and values of Operose Health
  • Excellent understanding of National and Organisational policy
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Understanding of quality improvement Programmes and initiatives
  • Ability to work a part of a team and on one's own initiative
  • Effective management and organisational skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • The ability to work in a changing environment, leading their team to be solution focussed
  • Knowledge of current political agenda influencing health
  • Ability to identify training needs of self and team to provide relevant and appropriate experience to all learners
  • Excellent communication skills- both verbally and in writing at all levels
  • Clinical IT systems skills
  • Enthusiastic, innovative, and flexible
  • Self-motivated, positive, and committed
  • Leadership qualification (desirable)
