Job Title: Test Support Engineer

**Job Summary:**

eTeam is seeking a highly skilled Test Support Engineer to join our team. As a Test Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our test processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Supervise Test Execution Activities:**
    • Oversee the supervision of test execution activities within the payload AIT facility.
    • Ensure that test safety measures and procedures are being adhered to during payload testing.
  • **First-Line Support:**
    • Provide first-line support across all test phases and all projects.
    • Offer test engineering and process support to shop floor operations.
  • **Continuous Improvement:**
    • Drive continuous improvements and the reduction of non-quality in the area of electrical and RF test operations.
  • **Housekeeping and Asset Management:**
    • Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained across test activities and test equipment.
    • Contribute to process confirmation within the operations team regarding the use, storage, and maintenance of test assets.
  • **Shift Team Support:**
    • Provide positive and constructive feedback to help develop the shift team as operators.
    • Escalate any recurrent or serious issues to the cleanroom manager.
  • **Quality and Improvement:**
    • Ensure all tasks are carried out to the correct level of quality and any issues are escalated to operations management.
    • Support any improvement roadmap or improvement objectives related to Test in the cleanroom.
  • **Project Support:**
    • Take first action following anomaly or deviation.
    • Log into NC-CAPA and carry out first-level diagnosis.
  • **Test Process Management:**
    • Ensure that test processes are being followed by the operations team.
    • Escalate any deviation or behavioral issues through the operations team management.
  • **Collaboration and Communication:**
    • Work with Lead Engineers to agree the 'daily contract' of work to be carried out.
    • Highlight any difficulties based on resource, tools, and means.
  • **Test Aid Management:**
    • Ensure that the correct test aids are available for a project test phase and any investigation.
  • **New Test Phase Setup:**
    • Work with Lead Engineer to prepare new test phases.
    • Setup new Equipment Hardware & Software to ensure they can be used by the operations team.
  • **Test Priorities:**
    • Support the operations team by ensuring that test priorities are clearly understood.
    • Escalate immediately when a priority task cannot be carried out.
  • **Investigation and Support:**
    • Coordinate investigations and 'non-standard' work instructions.
    • Provide AIT process knowledge and support to both internal AIT test team and systems engineering teams.
  • **EMC Investigations:**
    • Coordinate EMC investigations working closely with EMC engineering team.

Requirements:

  • **Electrical and/or RF Engineering Skills:**
    • Experience in Electrical Test environment.
  • **Education and Experience:**
    • Minimum HND level or equivalent industry experience in Electrical/Electronic discipline, Electrical Test Engineering or RF & Communications.
  • **Test Measurement Experience:**
    • Strong Electrical/RF test measurement experience.
  • **Presentation and Communication Skills:**
    • Clear and concise presentation of the project status to peers, managers, and internal customers.
  • **Feedback and Conflict Management:**
    • Delivering feedback – positive and constructive to local team.
    • Conflict management – dealing with local team issues.
  • **IT Literacy and MS Office Proficiency:**
    • IT literate and proficient in MS Office package.

Working Hours and Shift Patterns:

eTeam offers various shift patterns as per project needs, including but not limited to: normal days, 2 or 3 shift systems, 4on/4off, and weekend working. All shifts offer shift uplift.
