Education Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant - SEMH. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational services to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and group support to students, assisting them in managing their emotions and behavior, and ensuring they are engaged in their learning.
- Implement behavior management strategies in collaboration with the SENCo and teaching staff to develop and implement effective behavior management plans.
- Support academic progress by helping students understand and engage with the curriculum, providing tailored support where necessary.
- Foster a safe learning environment, ensuring the classroom remains a supportive space for all students.
- Collaborate with staff and parents to maintain open and effective communication, ensuring consistent support for each student.
We are looking for an individual with previous experience working with children or adults with SEN and/or challenging behavior. You will possess strong interpersonal skills, patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A positive, empathetic approach to working with children and a commitment to their development and wellbeing are essential.
