As an APS 5 Logistics Support Specialist within the Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) of the Department of Defence, you will oversee some of the most intricate and thrilling guided weaponry and explosive ordnance utilized by the Australian Defence Force.

Each day will present unique challenges as you seize opportunities to:

Leverage your extensive administrative and inventory oversight expertise to deliver integrated logistical support for a variety of explosive ordnance products. Apply sound analytical skills, initiative, and judgment in implementing suitable practices and procedures to manage a diverse inventory. Compile and present relevant data and briefings for a variety of stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential in ILS roles. You must be adept at interpreting data, fostering robust networks, engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and preparing and delivering information in various formats to meet objectives. There may be opportunities for domestic business travel associated with this role.

Important Note: This position requires access to US export-controlled materials; therefore, applicants will need to disclose any dual citizenship and country of birth during the recruitment process. Candidates may undergo further assessment, and appointment to this role will be contingent upon approval to access US controlled export materials in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

About Our Team
The Land Explosive Ordnance System Program Office (LEOSPO) is a vital component of the Explosive Materiel Branch, which is part of the Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Systems Division. Our team comprises various disciplines, including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services. We are primarily based in multiple locations, and our mission is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.
