About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of learning for students in Secondary Schools across Bedford and Bedfordshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the behavior of students during lessons, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to ensure continuity in learning, adapting to changing situations as needed.
  • Provide support to students in their learning activities, fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Manage classroom resources, ensuring a well-organized and efficient learning space.
  • Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues arising during the day, providing valuable insights and feedback.
Requirements
  • Confident approach working with Secondary Age Pupils (age 11 - 16 years), with a strong ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Semi-comfortable with creative subjects such as Art, Design or Food Technology, with a willingness to adapt and learn.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people is essential, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
