About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Community Development Officer to join our team at Abri. As a key member of our community investment team, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering sustainable community plans that make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

This is a part-time role, offering 24 hours per week on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will be based in Eastleigh and cover the surrounding areas, working closely with our residents, local authorities, and community partners to identify areas of need and develop targeted solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate community plans through consultation, research, and data analysis to ensure social value and value for money are maximised.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including residents, local authorities, and community partners.
  • Deliver results-driven community investment projects that make a tangible impact on our residents' lives.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Utilise data and research to inform decision-making and drive project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a community cohesion role or a related field.
  • Ability to research and analyse data, think creatively, and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, with lone working required at times.
