Clinical Psychologist - Transformation Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Transformation Unit, working with children and young people to improve their mental health and well-being.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing high-quality specialist psychology assessment and intervention to young people referred to the team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and intervene with children, teenagers, and young adults, and their families
  • Work collaboratively with schools, colleges, and other community-based professionals
  • Provide consultation, support, and psychological advice
  • Contribute to the development of an evidence base for relevant conditions and outcomes affecting patients treated with our services
  • Liaise and work effectively with staff from wider health, community, and education as appropriate
Requirements
  • Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology as accredited by BPS
  • Professional Registration with HCPC
  • Significant experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties
  • Relevant experience and training in multi-disciplinary assessments of neurodevelopmental difficulties in children and adolescents
  • Proven experience of working effectively with people with mental health difficulties, including autonomous management of a complex caseload
  • Experience of assessing and managing risk, including safeguarding
  • Experience of working with hard-to-reach diverse community groups and individuals with emerging complex needs
