About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director to lead our Research and Development team at our Weymouth office. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions in the field of electrical engineering, mechanics, and micro mechanics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain new innovative Printer Products and Solutions
  • Lead a highly technical and specialist team across Hardware, Software, Systems, Process Engineering, System Test, Module Test, and Project Management
  • Plan the R&D and product vision roadmap, including overall resource planning and budgeting
  • Define the overall setup, determination of competencies, development of concepts, and estimation of realisation efforts and timeline for new projects
  • Plan and execute multiple global distributed new development projects, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline
  • Sustain launched products regarding field defects, obsolete supplier parts, cost down, and manufacturing measures
  • Manage customer escalations efficiently and responsibly
About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual who is comfortable working both individually and as part of a team at all levels within the business. You will have a strong technical understanding and appreciation of dynamic and high-precision systems, robotics, and the latest design and simulation tools.

You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of leading and directing significant engineering resources to deliver long-term and high-cost module/product development projects. You will also have experience working successfully in a matrix organisation and an ability to prioritise a variety of initiatives.
