About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director to lead our Research and Development team at our Weymouth office. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the development and sustainment of new innovative Printer Products and Solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute multiple global distributed new development projects, from concept to series production, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline objectives are met.
  • Lead and direct a highly technical and specialist team, comprising Hardware, Software, Systems, Process Engineering, System Test, Module Test, and Project Management experts.
  • Develop and sustain launched products, addressing field defects, obsolete supplier parts, cost down, and manufacturing measures.
  • Manage customer escalations efficiently and responsibly, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with global R&D divisions, aligning on overall systems architecture, tool chains, and methodologies.
  • Be directly responsible for subordinated division heads, R&D managers, and directly subordinated employees and contractors.
About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team. You will be comfortable working both individually and as part of a team at all levels within the business. You will demonstrate high engineering competence, strong leadership skills, and a successful track record of leading and directing significant engineering resources.

  • BSc or MSc in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant working experience in the successful delivery of machine robotic technology solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of SMT Printing/Process Technology and current technologies in relevant sub-areas.
  • Experience working successfully in a matrix organization and ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a strong technical understanding and appreciation of dynamic and high-precision systems, robotics, and design and simulation tools.
  • Ability to implement change using change management principles and support the overall change process cycle.
  • Exemplary organizational skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels across the globe.
  • Able to achieve goals/objectives as an individual and in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel/work away from home from time to time.
