Toolmaker Specialist

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Press Toolmaker to join a global industrial manufacturer in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and manufacture new tooling as required, adhering to issued drawings and specifications.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on multistage progression tools, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tooling, covering machining and bench fitting tasks such as grinding, turning, and milling.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to maintain tooling to product parts to drawing tolerance.
- Conduct thorough testing on tooling prior to release, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor power presses during operation to identify and address problems, reporting requirements for spares/replacements.
- Assess the lifespan of press tools and arrange replacement parts or fabrication of new parts as required.
- Replace pilots, probe pins, springs, and design special fixtures to fit to tools.
- Adhere strictly to Health and Safety Regulations at all times.
- Self-motivated with a drive for excellence.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
