Toolmaker Specialist

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Press Toolmaker to join a global industrial manufacturer in Sheffield. This role requires a flexible and enthusiastic individual to complement the existing team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manufacture new tooling as needed, adhering to issued drawings and specifications.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on multistage progression tools, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tooling, covering machining and bench fitting tasks such as grinding, turning, and milling.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to maintain tooling to product parts, meeting drawing tolerance requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing on tooling prior to release, ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Monitor power presses during operation, identifying and addressing problems, and reporting requirements for spares or replacements.
- Assess the lifespan of press tools and arrange replacement parts or fabrication of new parts as needed.
- Replace pilots, probe pins, springs, and design special fixtures to fit tools.
- Adhere strictly to Health and Safety Regulations at all times.
- Self-motivated with a drive for excellence.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
