About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our team at Favordale Care Home in Colne, Lancashire. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare menus that cater to the dietary needs of our residents
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure accurate stock control and ordering of supplies
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in menu planning and stock control
  • Demonstrated ability to cater for large numbers
  • Experience in supervising staff within a kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food costing and stock control
  • Understanding of specialised diets and basic nutritional needs
