Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve patient meals, ensuring that all food and beverage items meet legislative and mandatory requirements.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the hospital, including food preparation and service areas.
- Work collaboratively with dietetics and clinical teams to ensure that patients receive nutritionally balanced diets to support their recovery.
- Participate in the development and implementation of catering services, including menu planning and food preparation.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Previous experience of catering in an employed capacity, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of hygiene standards and infection control within the workplace.
- Foundation Food Hygiene or Basic Health and Safety qualification (desirable).
