As a Catering Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality catering service to patients, staff, and visitors across our hospitals and community health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve patient meals, ensuring that all food and beverage items meet legislative and mandatory requirements.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the hospital, including food preparation and service areas.
  • Work collaboratively with dietetics and clinical teams to ensure that patients receive nutritionally balanced diets to support their recovery.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of catering services, including menu planning and food preparation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of catering in an employed capacity, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of hygiene standards and infection control within the workplace.
  • Foundation Food Hygiene or Basic Health and Safety qualification (desirable).
