Position Overview

Alchemy Global Talent Solutions is in search of an International Mobility Specialist to enhance our global workforce management strategies.

This role is pivotal as it combines both operational and strategic elements, overseeing the comprehensive assignment lifecycle while advising senior leadership as the foremost authority on global mobility.

The position is part of the global HR services division, collaborating closely with HR Business Partners, people operations, and talent acquisition teams.

The ideal candidate will excel in a technology-driven environment and will be expected to work in a hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary expert in International Mobility, managing the complete international assignment and relocation process for employees worldwide, with a focus on key regions including the USA, Europe, and APAC.
  • Oversee various types of global mobility, including permanent relocations, expatriate assignments, new hire relocations, and remote work arrangements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Tax, and Travel departments.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and operational standards.
  • Provide expert guidance and strategic advice on international mobility to internal stakeholders based on organizational needs.
  • Conduct assessments for assignees and recommend appropriate relocation packages and benefits tailored to individual circumstances.
  • Ensure a personalized and adaptable global mobility program that enhances the experience for both the organization and its employees.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate situations and propose solutions considering various factors such as tax implications, payroll, immigration, social security, and employment regulations.
  • Work in conjunction with HR, HR Information Systems, and Finance teams to maintain accurate data management.
  • Partner with the Immigration department to address immigration-related inquiries.
  • Regularly update employees and relevant stakeholders on case management progress and timelines.
  • Continuously enhance internal resources, guides, and offerings related to international mobility.
  • Gather feedback on global mobility program management and proactively suggest improvements or new initiatives based on industry best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze data related to mobility trends within the organization.
  • Support the Global HR Team with various projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Over 10 years of experience in global mobility, preferably in an in-house capacity.
  • Proven ability to develop and scale a global mobility program to align with the needs of a growing organization.
  • Experience working effectively within a global matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated success in building or expanding a global mobility program in a rapidly evolving in-house environment.
  • Strong operational and strategic expertise in global mobility.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a track record of engaging with stakeholders across various levels, functions, and regions.
  • Experience in vendor management, including evaluation and request for proposals.
  • Familiarity with complex cases involving compliance teams (Immigration, Payroll, Tax, Legal).
  • Experience with HR management systems such as Workday is preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment-based immigration is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • A customer-centric approach with a focus on high-touch service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to present viable options for the organization.
  • Comfortable operating in an ambiguous and flexible environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • A collaborative mindset with a positive attitude.
