About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified teaching assistant to support across the KS1 and KS2 classes in a Good Ofsted rated school in Winsford, Cheshire. This is a long-term contract required due to a member of staff retiring from the school.

Your New Role

In your new role as a teaching assistant, you will be supporting the KS1 and KS2 classes. This is a varied position, supporting mixed ability pupils across different year groups. You will build strong constructive relationships with your new pupils by supporting them on a 1:1 and group basis and promoting an engaging and stimulating learning environment. In KS1 you will offer phonics, numeracy and literacy assessments. In KS2 you will focus on SATs boosters and preparation, and offer intervention and boosters in core subjects across all year groups. A number of pupils within the school have SEN such as ADHD and Dyslexia. You will support these pupils on a 1:1 basis as required, with a focus on positive behaviour, promotion and literacy.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Full "Right to Work" in the UK
  • Minimum of 40 days referenceable experience as a teaching assistant in the last 2 years
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Experience holding intervention and booster sessions
  • Ability to commit to a full-time contract
