OLG Recruitment is seeking a Technical Training Lead to join our client’s team. This is a permanent, field-based role covering various locations across the UK. A company vehicle will be provided for travel purposes. The standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the possibility of remote work flexibility.
Role Overview:
In this position, you will collaborate closely with customers throughout our value chain, delivering high-quality technical training and support, including system builds, compliance, and reporting. With your trade experience, you will conduct practical demonstrations of products and provide comprehensive continuing professional development (CPD) sessions or product training to professionals in the drywall sector. Your expertise in materials, systems, and installation processes will also support the Research and Development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Health and Safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself and others.
- Promote products and systems, as well as the Technical Academies, in a professional manner through various channels, including presentations and customer interactions.
- Provide support to internal teams (R&D, Technical Project Teams, Marketing, Manufacturing, etc.) by leveraging your trade knowledge. Assist with trade events, airless demonstrations, and training sessions, and complete site compliance reports as necessary.
- Deliver impactful CPDs, training sessions, demonstrations, and toolbox talks to a range of stakeholders, including customers, construction colleges, architects, and main contractors across the UK and Ireland.
- Develop and manage new CPDs and training courses to address skills gaps and enhance industry understanding, including flexible agendas and workshops.
- Maintain training schedules and manage bookings for CPDs, training, and toolbox talks for designated regions, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators.
- Assist in the case management process by conducting investigations and providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.
- Support product testing at independent laboratories and relay necessary feedback to ensure successful outcomes.
- Utilize and store site reports within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and capture project data effectively.
- Drive continuous improvements within the External Technical Team and the broader Technical Team.
- Perform any additional tasks relevant to your role.
- Previous experience in the drywall or construction industry is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Training qualifications such as Petals or AET are advantageous.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in IT, including digital social media and Microsoft platforms, is required.
- A valid UK driving license is essential.
- High attention to detail and structured problem-solving abilities are crucial.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Effective diary management skills are necessary.
