Job Summary:

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Officer to provide a 24/7 Incident Response / Fire Watch service at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for detecting and addressing risks to fire safety internally and externally to the hospital and neighboring buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a 24/7 Incident Response / Fire Watch service to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of clinical and non-clinical services.
  • Assist with evacuation of patients in the event of an incident.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to fire safety, both internally and externally.

Available Vacancies:

  • 1 x Full-time position (37 hours)
  • 2 x Part-time positions (23 hours, weekend shifts)

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of fire safety protocols and procedures is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe working environment.
