Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intensive Care Specialist to join our team at Spinner Medical Recruitment. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide specialist intensive care medical services within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist intensive care medical services to patients within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
  • Assist the Clinical Director of Intensive Care Services to ensure clinical services provided are of the highest standard and delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Participate in the education and supervision of trainees and other medical staff, medical students, allied health and nursing staff.
Requirements
  • FCICM or equivalent qualification.
  • High level knowledge and skills across a range of intensive care medicine with ability to work independently in a regional ICU.
  • Ability to manage processes of assessment, admission, ongoing care, transfers and discharges in a fast moving critical care environment.
  • First class communication skills.
  • Adaptable to quickly fit into a small, high performance team.
  • Interest in educating and developing junior medical staff, including ability to teach under and postgrad levels.
  • Commitment to best practice clinical governance and quality improvement.
