Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Orion Electrotech is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing conceptual and detailed solutions to meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components using 3D design software (SolidWorks)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet client requirements and company standards
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for design improvements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including assembly drawings and manuals
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve design solutions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the packaging industry
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary up to £55,000
  • 24 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Death in Service (3x normal annual salary)

  • Pension 5%
  • 38 hour working week (8.30 to 5 Monday to Thursday with 30 minute lunch break and 8.30 to 3 on Friday with 30 minute lunch break)
