Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Energi People. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the project management of medium to large scale projects and individual engineering tasks for numerous schemes for clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation, development, and finalization of engineering design solutions for mechanical services elements
  • Collaboration with other team members and project teams, as well as direct liaison with clients and other design team professionals
  • Attendance at regular project meetings, site inspections, and monitoring of works at a site level
  • Experience across the breadth of mechanical building services, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, hot and cold water, compressed air, steam, and foul drainage above ground
  • Ability to complete survey work and site inspections, undertake design calculations, prepare drawn information, write technical specifications, and write technical reports
  • Peer review and check design information prepared by others, manage a project-specific team of engineers, and maintain records and archives to company standards
  • Manage commercial aspects of projects, including responsibility for management of project income and costs, and manage client relationships on specific projects

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) with either the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) or the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)
  • Building services/architectural engineering degree and/or masters
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Autodesk Revit MEP, Cymap, and EDSL Tas
  • Ability to operate as part of a wider project team within appropriate authority levels and represent the company with confidence to a variety of clients and outside organizations
