We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Fostering Practitioner to join our team at the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee or Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work in an autonomous capacity alongside the medical team to provide high-quality care to our patients. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat skin diseases for a wide range of patients with complex health needs.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to ongoing clinical development, education, and further study. They will become an integral part of our dermatology team, managing a caseload of patients requiring dermatological interventions across the region and following agreed pathways.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide enhanced continuity and high standards of management for patients requiring care across the Trust while in a continuing training post.
  • To contribute to the development of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner role.
  • To work across organisational and professional boundaries to improve the quality of patient care.
  • To support the future Advanced Clinical Practitioners role.
Key Requirements
  • Possession of or working towards master's level study.
  • Be registered as a healthcare professional with recent and extensive experience of working within the specialty.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Clinical Skills and History Taking/Non-Medical Prescribing qualifications.
