Position Overview

This role is crucial in managing our health, safety, and environmental initiatives and developing strategies to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols for both field operations and production sites.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of workplace incidents and injuries to avert future risks and reduce costs, ensuring a prompt return to work for affected personnel.
  • Analyze the root causes of incidents and potential risks, actively participating in incident investigations.
  • Design and implement HSE training sessions to promote safe working practices and increase awareness among employees.
  • Act as the company representative in industrial HSE forums, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the local health and safety committee to foster a culture of safety.
  • Perform compliance assessments and inspections at regional sites, identifying and rectifying hazards.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding QHSE compliance and information.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Contribute to the annual audit strategy in alignment with ISO standards and client specifications.
  • Engage actively in audit processes to uphold ISO certifications.
  • Investigate incidents and non-conformities, monitoring Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years' experience in quality, health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
  • NEBOSH certification is required.
  • Experience as a Lead Assessor, particularly in Health & Safety, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and workers' compensation policies, with a background in risk management being beneficial.
  • Fluency in the local language with basic English proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel regionally to provide necessary support.
