Job SummaryWe are seeking an innovative Maintenance Engineer Manager to join our team and ensure quality products are delivered on time. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a small team of mixed skills, maintaining control processes, writing up reports, diagnosing and resolving problems with equipment, and providing training and general support to the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and deliver against a planned preventative maintenance schedule to minimize the chance of machine breakdown.
- Repair or resolve machine issues in a timely manner to keep loss of production to a minimum.
- Manage consignment stock and order necessary parts required for repair and maintenance of machines to ensure repairs are completed in the quickest time possible.
- Keep accurate records of all machine breakdowns. Produce reports for Engineering KPIs.
- Assist in factory improvement and project work to ensure services and facilities are installed correctly.
- Carry out necessary facility work.
- Host and ensure contractors are site inducted and have approved RAMS.
- Served a recognized apprenticeship and attained an appropriate electrical/mechanical qualification.
- Able to demonstrate success in maintaining and repairing Electrical and/or Mechanical equipment, preferably in extrusion / T-dies / rollers / chillers.
- Flexible communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions.
- PC Literate (Microsoft Office packages).
- Ability to interpret drawings, manuals, and technical literature to fault-find.
- Ability and willingness to respond flexibly to working hours in time-critical situations.
