Salary: circa £45,000 per annum DOE

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our equipment, ensuring the availability of operational assets and minimizing production downtime.

Purpose of the Maintenance Engineer role:
To deliver a Total Productive Maintenance schedule and respond effectively to unplanned maintenance issues, ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To schedule and deliver against a planned preventative maintenance schedule to minimize the chance of machine breakdown.
  2. To repair or resolve machine issues in a timely manner to keep loss of production to a minimum.
  3. To manage consignment stock and order necessary parts required for repair and maintenance of machines to ensure repairs are completed in the quickest time possible.
  4. To keep accurate records of all machine breakdowns and produce reports for Engineering KPIs.
  5. To assist in factory improvement and project work to ensure services and facilities are installed correctly.
  6. To carry out necessary facility work.
  7. To host and ensure contractors are site inducted and have approved RAMS.

Requirements for the role:

  1. Served a recognized apprenticeship and attained an appropriate electrical/mechanical qualification (City and Guilds, NVQ level 3 mechanical engineering).
  2. Able to demonstrate success in maintaining and repairing Electrical and/or Mechanical equipment, preferably in extrusion / T-dies / rollers / chillers.
  3. Flexible communication skills.
  4. PC Literate (Microsoft Office packages).
  5. Ability to interpret drawings, manuals and technical literature to fault-find.
