Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Accounts Associate to join our dynamic team at MET Recruitment UK LTD. This full-time role offers a flexible working schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS105 and FRS 102(1a), with some exposure to IFRS for UK subsidiaries.
  • Management of self-employed and partnership accounts, including personal and partnership tax returns for high-net-worth clients.
  • Conducting quarterly VAT reviews and producing in-year management accounts.
  • Engaging in tax and business development planning related to the aforementioned responsibilities.
  • Collaborating with bookkeeping and payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely information flow into summary accounts.
  • Working alongside colleagues in our financial planning division to provide comprehensive wealth management advice.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong foundation in accounting principles, ideally nearing completion of ACA or ACCA qualifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current tax legislation.
  • Minimum GCSEs of grade C or above in Mathematics and English, with commendable results in further education.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Iris, Sage 50, Sage Online, QuickBooks Cloud, Xero, and Dext is advantageous, though training will be provided.
  • A valid driving license.
