About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your management career in retail with Sainsbury's. As a Customer and Trading Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team and ensuring the smooth operation of our convenience stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Plan and organize store operations, including stock management, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other store managers to achieve business objectives and share best practices.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a retail management role, preferably in a convenience store environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and to adapt to changing circumstances.
