Job Description

**Quality Controller**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Controller to join our team at Meridian Business Support. As a Quality Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services, and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our quality management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Update and Manage Quality Management System**: Develop and implement a quality management system that meets the requirements of ISO9001, and ensure that all employees understand and adhere to the system.
  • **Ensure Documentation is Up-to-Date**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including quality procedures, work instructions, and records.
  • **Control Incidents Log and Investigate Non-Conformities**: Investigate and document all non-conformities, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • **Manage Change Request Forms**: Review and approve change request forms, and ensure that all changes are properly documented and implemented.
  • **Create Clear and Detailed Documents**: Develop clear and concise documents, including reports and procedures, to communicate with suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • **Good Inward Inspection**: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials and products to ensure they meet specifications and are of the appropriate quality.
  • **Quarantine Warranty Returns**: Assist in the testing and assessment of items returned under warranty, or out of box failure, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • **Create Detailed Reports**: Develop detailed reports, using Excel, to analyze production efficiency and identify areas for improvement.

Preferred Skills:

  • **In-Depth Knowledge of ISO9001**: Proven experience of working with ISO9001, and a deep understanding of the standard.
  • **Technical Background**: A technical background, with experience of working in an engineering environment.
  • **Excellent Administration and Communication Skills**: Excellent administration, communication, and computer skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
