Goodman Masson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Crime Investigations Officer to join their team in London.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in financial crime investigations, preferably within a banking or financial services environment, and a strong understanding of UK regulatory requirements related to financial crime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth investigations into complex financial crime cases, including fraud, money laundering, and sanctions violations.
  • Oversee post-transaction monitoring processes and review alerts generated by the bank's transaction monitoring tools.
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Work directly with victims of fraud to seek resolution.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial crime policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies to address financial crime risks.
  • Provide training and education on financial crime topics to team members and other staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in financial crime investigations, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory requirements related to financial crime.
  • Strong preference for somebody who has previously worked in law enforcement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
