Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accommodation Specialist to join our team at Care New England Health System. As a key member of our Accounts Receivable team, you will play a critical role in facilitating the billing process and ensuring timely reimbursement from third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Submit paper and electronic claims to all payers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Follow up on current, past due accounts and secondary balances with third-party payers, resolving issues and negotiating settlements as needed.
  • Assist the supervisor with reporting, analyzing, and trending of accounts receivable, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Function as a billing liaison to patients, providers, and insurance carriers, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of claims-related issues.
Requirements
  • High school degree required; associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years related experience in a healthcare environment or accounts receivable.
  • Knowledge of third-party payers, medical terminology, word processing, statistical tools, and computer applications, including Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and typing skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and judgments in a fast-paced environment.
