Job Summary:

Lancaster University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate to join the TUDOR project, a cutting-edge research initiative focused on developing open network technologies for 5G and future mobile networks.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and testing systems throughout the project, leveraging their expertise in computer networking and programming skills. They will work closely with two project investigators who are committed to mentoring and supporting the development of the candidate's profile and new research proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and test systems throughout the project
  • Contribute to the development of open network technologies for 5G and future mobile networks
  • Collaborate with project investigators to design and implement a novel intent-driven management framework for 3D open networks
  • Develop a digital twin platform to predict the behavior of real-life RAN and Core infrastructures and support the fulfillment of network intents
