Job Description

Eventus Recruitment Cheshire is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of all financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely quarterly management accounts and financial reports for the Board.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the preparation of annual budgets and regular reforecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Cashflow Management & Treasury: Manage cashflow and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and capital expenditure.
  • Audit & Compliance: Prepare for the annual external audit, including the provision of draft accounts and audit schedules.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain strong financial control systems to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Support the Executive Team in strategic financial planning, ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
  • Board and Committee Support: Prepare financial reports for quarterly Board meetings, and present financial information to the Board as required.
Requirements
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
  • At least five years of experience in a senior financial management role, ideally within the housing or charity sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budget management, cashflow forecasting, and financial compliance.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting system and familiarity with CRM software.
