Job Description

Shropshire Homes Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Housing Technician to join our Technical Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our core housing range and driving innovation in modern methods of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret instructions from Heads of Department, Design Manager, and Drawing Office Manager regarding the production of house type drawing packages.
  • Ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with building regulation standards, planning policy, and NHBC standards.
  • Produce Designers Risk Assessments and coordinate consultants' Designers Risk Assessments.
  • Discharge building control related conditions to achieve NHBC National House Type Approvals.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety requirements and Shropshire Homes Health and Safety Policy.

Requirements:

  • Strong CAD skills with at least two years relevant CAD experience.
  • Knowledge of REVIT/BIM software and processes.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft suite of programmes, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of the design and planning process and good design ethos.
  • Familiarity with Building Regulation documents, NHBC Standards, and Lifetime Homes and National Space Standards requirements.
