We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wording Specialist to join our Bond and Specialty Insurance (BSI) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and drafting wordings, ensuring the integrity of insurance contracts, and collaborating with underwriters to ensure that slips and wordings meet pre-bind quality assurance before inception.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and undertake policy wording development and control across all lines of BSI business, ensuring TRV Wordings are robust and accurately drafted.
- Work with Underwriting Officers to ensure that review of forms (TRV policies, broker forms, and competitor) is completed and appropriate sign off is achieved.
- Collaborate with underwriters to ensure that slips and wordings meet pre-bind quality assurance before inception.
- Manage and facilitate the amendment and drafting of endorsements to ensure compliance with underwriters intended depth and breadth of coverage.
- Report wordings and documentation issues to underwriters and Underwriting Officers on an exception basis so that underwriters are aware of the issues and can act accordingly.
- Build and maintain relationships with underwriters (and brokers as needed) so that wordings and documentation issues are resolved quickly and to the satisfaction of all parties.
- Experience drafting underwriting policy wordings.
- Experience managing projects.
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy, coupled with excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Acts with a sense of urgency.
- Works effectively with all levels and can build new relationships.
- Effectively coaches employees at all levels.
- Takes responsibility for decisions and actions.
- Manages own work.
- Understands the business and responds to all related issues, concerns, and problems.
- Private Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.
- Retirement: Travelers will make a core contribution of a percentage of salary to your Pension Plan. Additionally, if you decide to contribute to the plan, you will receive an increased company contribution.
- Holiday Entitlement: Start your career at Travelers with a minimum of 25 days holiday entitlement annually, plus the opportunity to purchase additional days to allow for up to a total of 35 holidays per year.
