About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our team at Severn Trent Water. As a Data Analyst (Contract) - Blockage Reporting Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our sewer blockage reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze data from our field teams to identify potential risks to the accuracy of our reporting.
  • Review and validate the outputs of our assurance checks to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate specific risks and monitor delivery.
  • Build and maintain expert knowledge of blockage reporting requirements and best practices.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on blockage reporting matters.
  • Facilitate external audit sessions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Produce regular reporting figures for the performance team and provide insights on trends and assurance impact.
  • Collaborate with improvement analysts and operational teams to drive continuous improvement of operational feedback.
  • Support the Performance Team in understanding trends and assurance impact.
  • Provide information and assurance to stakeholders at senior levels in the business.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, with a strong understanding of sewerage operations and blockage definition.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly understand processes and identify interdependencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
