Technical Maintenance Controller

At We Are Workforce Ltd, we're seeking a skilled Technical Maintenance Controller to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth management of our fleet's maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the team in managing vehicle downtime for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with customer and supplier teams to ensure best cost/quality solutions
  • Process authorisation requests daily and build relationships with suppliers
  • Deliver cost-effective maintenance solutions that meet customer needs within Fraikin maintenance budgets and agreed customer service KPIs
  • Monitor and report on customer VORs to proactively manage and minimise downtime
  • Check contracts for vehicles and their specific collection/delivery and substitute allocation costs and entitlements
  • Control maintenance trends such as warranty, policy, and component failure
  • Demonstrate proactive management of vehicle downtime in line with agreed Key Performance Indicators
Requirements:
  • Time served as an HGV/LGV Technician and/or Workshop Controller with extensive knowledge of maintenance standards for LGV and HGV vehicles desirable
  • Previous experience in a busy maintenance control room environment dealing with scheduling/maintenance of commercial rental/contract hire/fleet management vehicles with third-party suppliers
  • IT literate and able to produce reports within Tableau or Excel where required to monitor performance
  • Flexible attitude in providing solutions to problems
  • Knowledge of Audatex and Body Shop repair processes preferred but not essential
