Job Title: Adult Advanced Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Urgent and Emergency Care team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

About the Role:

  • Work autonomously within your sphere of competency as a clinician in a diverse multi-skilled team.
  • Deliver care to patients attending the UTC/ED with undifferentiated diagnoses covering all aspects of minor and major illness and injury.
  • Formulate clinical decisions and treatment plans to manage the urgent and/or emergency patient illness and injury.
  • Exercise advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement for the development and review of care protocols and training for staff within your area of specialism.
  • Audit and monitoring of standards of patient care, using the results to influence practice, thereby continually improving evidence-based practice and delivery of patient-focused care.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working effectively across professional boundaries.
  • Proven clinical skills while demonstrating excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing levels of activity and acuity within the UTC/Emergency Department in an autonomous role.
