Dabster is a cutting-edge technology company dedicated to innovation and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevSecOps Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic team.

As a DevSecOps Engineer at Dabster, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and efficiency of our software development processes on GCP. Your expertise in GCP, Rego policies, and Terraform will be instrumental in establishing a secure and streamlined development pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Rego policies to enforce security controls and compliance standards within our GCP infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to integrate security seamlessly into the GCP-focused CI/CD pipeline, automating security checks and scans.
  • Architect and implement secure microservices and containerized applications on GCP, adhering to best practices for GCP security.
  • Design and manage GCP resources securely and efficiently using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments of GCP environments, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities.
  • Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for GCP deployments, designing effective security solutions.
  • Respond to GCP-specific security incidents, conduct thorough root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in GCP and industry security trends, sharing knowledge with team members.
  • Promote a culture of security awareness within the team, integrating security considerations throughout development processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in DevSecOps with a focus on GCP.
  • Proficiency in Rego policies and policy-as-code practices, particularly within the GCP environment.
  • In-depth understanding of GCP services, security controls, and best practices.
  • Experience with GCP-specific security tools and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Strong background in Terraform for IaC and CI/CD pipelines integrated with GCP.
  • Familiarity with GCP security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Solid grasp of container security on GCP and securing microservices architectures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant GCP certifications, such as Google Professional DevOps Engineer or Cloud Security Engineer, are highly advantageous.
