Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Import/Export Coordinator to join our team at END. as a key member of our logistics and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing import/export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to plan and execute efficient import/export operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage import/export activities, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements, staying updated on changes in regulations and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and freight forwarders to plan and execute efficient import/export operations.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation.
- Communicate effectively with customs authorities to resolve any issues or delays in clearance processes.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, proactively addressing any potential delays or disruptions.
- Provide support to retail partners regarding import/export requirements and logistics coordination.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs in the import/export supply chain.
- Handle inquiries and requests related to import/export activities from internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of import/export policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure exported products are restricted to relevant markets where necessary.
- Accurate classification of goods using the Harmonised Tariff System.
- Provide clear and concise Import Clearance Instructions to Carriers.
- Undertake regular audits of supplementary declarations, ensuring 100% compliance with all customs formalities.
- Preparation of information and reporting for management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience working as an Import/Export Coordinator or similar role, preferably in the retail industry.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, with experience in customs clearance processes.
- Sound understanding of bonded warehouse customs procedures (desirable).
- Strong understanding of international trade documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using import/export management software and MS Office applications.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Qualification in Customs/compliance (desirable).
