BAM Nuttall is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Director to lead the environmental aspects of our Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project. This 5-year initiative will create a 525kV, 2GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable from Peterhead in Scotland to Drax in England, providing enough power for 2 million UK homes.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the environmental aspects of the project delivery, including chairing project environmental meetings.
  • Attend project progress meetings, providing input, guidance, and reporting on environmental issues.
  • Interface with the Employer's Environmental Team.
  • Review and prepare environmental documentation, ensuring adequacy of Site-specific environmental documentation and records.
  • Provide guidance and advice on environmental controls and laws to the Project Team.
  • Investigate environmental incidents and lead on the delivery of necessary incident reporting and lessons learnt.
  • Manage environmental staff, including Environmental Clerk of Works and other ad hoc specialists.
  • Deliver environmental consenting requirements as required by the contract.
  • Manage and report on Project environmental KPIs.
  • Monitor and maintain the Project CEMP, ensuring continual improvement based on relevant environmental standards, regulatory, project, and BAM Nuttall requirements.
