Position SummaryWe are in search of a Senior Asset Improvement Engineer (Electrical) to join our Technology & Improvement division. This position entails managing strategic asset initiatives for electrical, instrumentation, and control system assets, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, and pinpointing areas for enhancement.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various teams on-site, assist in maintenance and reliability operations, and play a role in sustainability efforts, including energy efficiency projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Formulate and oversee asset management strategies for plant resources
- Determine capital needs and develop business proposals
- Manage budgets and identify cost-reduction opportunities
- Facilitate project implementation and maintenance tasks
- Create and evaluate engineering guidelines
- Engage in capital project planning and maintenance downtimes
The successful applicant will possess a degree in electrical, control, or instrumentation engineering, ideally chartered or in pursuit of chartered status. The preferred candidate will have a background in process engineering, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and outstanding communication abilities.
Technical Expertise and Skills:- Familiarity with applicable legislation and safety standards
- Experience with industrial systems, DCS, PLCs, and instrumentation
- Capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and generate management reports
- Participation in HAZOP processes and mentoring others
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Experience in maintenance methodologies and high-performance standards
- Ability to mentor and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP applications
