Senior Project Surveyor/ Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the delivery of the Immingham Eastern Ro-Ro Terminal Project. This role involves managing subcontract administration, cost and value reporting, and assisting with main contract change management and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing subcontract administration for the delivery of the works, including design, site set-up, civils, marine works, and building and MEP works.
- Contract management and administration of multiple subcontracts and design contracts, ensuring compliance with the contract and Dragados management systems.
- Managing and coordinating the change management process under the subcontracts, including drafting contractors' instructions and reviewing NECs and quotations for compensation events.
- Managing the main designer contract, ensuring assistance is provided to the design team on cost information of design.
- Working with the estimating manager and specialist suppliers to review and update the construction stage estimate in accordance with the latest design.
- Assisting the Procurement Manager in commercial and financial aspects of contracts.
- Providing contractual advice to the commercial, construction, and engineering departments.
- Reporting to the commercial manager on contractual aspects of the project.
- Ensuring compliance with the contractual requirements of the project.
- Preparing contractual correspondence and responding to communications from the project manager.
- Managing quantity surveying and assistant Quantity surveyors during the construction stage of the project.
- Assisting the commercial manager in educating the project team in the specific requirements of the NEC conditions of contract.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, and be able to report at management level. Experience of working with NEC 3 or 4 contracts and administering NEC 3 or subcontract (Option A/B/C/E) is essential. Additionally, the candidate should have experience working with a main contractor on large civil engineering/infrastructure projects.
We are looking for a committed individual who is accountable, cost-effective, and customer-driven, with a high degree of commercial awareness. The candidate should hold a CSCS Card and be educated to degree level or equivalent in a numerate or commercial discipline. Membership or Associate Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is desirable.
