About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust, working in West Norfolk to support the CAMHS and Youth teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Consultant level support to both the CAMHS and Youth teams in terms of being part of the MDT discussions and interventions offered to those accessing the services.
  • High level of clinical leadership in terms of both supporting service developments as well as maintaining good clinical governance and assurance that the service is safe and effective.
  • Collaborate with the wider system to develop CAMHS services in Norfolk as part of the local transformation plan.

  • Paid study leave (on application and approval) in addition to CPD
  • Inclusion on the Consultant on-call rota for the higher level with 3%, 5% or 8% requisite pay depending on frequency

Requirements
  • Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act
  • 3 years or equivalent medical experience
  • Leadership qualities
  • Driving license/able to travel independently
  • Experience of supervising junior medical staff
