About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust, working in West Norfolk to support the CAMHS and Youth teams.

The role will provide Consultant level support to both teams, including being part of MDT discussions and interventions offered to those accessing the services. The role also entails a high level of clinical leadership, supporting service developments, maintaining good clinical governance, and ensuring the service is safe and effective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Consultant level support to CAMHS and Youth teams
  • Participate in MDT discussions and interventions
  • Lead clinical governance and assurance
  • Support service developments

Person Specification
  • Entry on the GMC Register
  • Approved Clinician Status
  • Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act
  • Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST
Requirements
  • 3 years or equivalent medical experience
  • 6 months experience in relevant clinical area
  • Evidence of knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex mental illness
