Position Overview:
Technique Recruitment Solutions Ltd is a dedicated recruitment agency specializing in engineering and manufacturing roles. We are currently seeking a skilled Controls Systems Engineer to enhance our client's operational team.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Controls Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive maintenance support to ensure seamless production operations. You will collaborate closely with the Factory Manager, Area Manager, and Shift Supervisors to prioritize tasks in alignment with production needs.

Core Duties Include:
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues in plant equipment.
  • Executing both mechanical and electrical project-based tasks as required.
  • Conducting planned and scheduled maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to high engineering standards and completion within designated timelines.

Proactive Maintenance:
Identify and analyze equipment failure patterns, taking proactive measures to mitigate or eliminate losses associated with major breakdowns, minor interruptions, and quality defects.

Collaboration:
Work in conjunction with engineering colleagues to effectively schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks, including urgent breakdowns and routine maintenance activities.

Supplier Liaison:
Engage with suppliers and contractors to obtain technical support and assist in fault diagnosis.

Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure that Risk and COSHH Assessments are current and applicable to the tasks being performed.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Completion of scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Implementation of machine and plant enhancements.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in a maintenance role, demonstrating both proactive and reactive maintenance capabilities. Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems is essential, along with the ability to interpret electrical schematics. Flexibility in working hours is required.
