We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Orthodontist to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality orthodontic services to patients across North Wales.

  • Treat complex malocclusions to the highest standard.

Person Specification
  • Essential Qualifications
    • Full General Dental Council (GDC) Registration.
    • Specialist Membership in Orthodontics or equivalent.
    • Be on the GDC Specialist Register in Orthodontics.
  • Desirable Qualifications
    • Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exit Examination in Orthodontics, or equivalent.
    • Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a Certificate of Specialist Training in Orthodontics.
    • Fellowship in Dental Surgery or Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery or equivalent.
    • MSc or equivalent.
  • Essential Experience
    • Successful completion of an SAC-approved minimum two-year training in a fixed-term training appointment (Post-CCST/FTTA) in Orthodontics or within six months of completion of training.
    • Commitment to continued professional development through lifelong learning.
  • Desirable Experience
    • Successful completion of an SAC-approved minimum three-year training programme in Orthodontics.
    • Experience in the management of craniofacial anomalies, including CLP.
    • Demonstration of a CPD log book.
