Job Overview

The Specialist Perinatal Service is a multidisciplinary team providing mental health care to women, birthing persons, and their families. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Practitioner Psychologist to join our team.

Main Duties
  • Provide specialized clinical psychology services to clients within the Specialist Perinatal Service.
  • Work autonomously, adhering to the British Psychological Society Code of Conduct and Health and Care Professions Council guidelines.
  • Exercise delegated responsibility for the management and supervision of assistant psychologists and trainees.
  • Contribute to the development of local team policies and procedures.
  • Advise service and professional management on psychological and organizational matters.
  • Provide professional and clinical supervision for designated staff.
  • Provide clinical placements and supervision for Doctoral-level trainee clinical/counselling psychologists.
  • Deliver training to other professionals.
  • Utilize specialized research skills for audit, policy, and service development, and research.
  • Act as a panel member in the recruitment of designated staff.
