Job Role: Conveyancing Paralegal / Case Handler

Location: Hall Green

Salary: £20,000 - £26,000 DOE

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Residential Property Assistant or Paralegal to join our welcoming and growing high street conveyancing team at Simpson Judge Ltd. As a Conveyancing Paralegal / Case Handler, you will be responsible for handling various aspects of sales and purchase transactions, from initial instructions to post-completion filing of SDLT returns at HMRC and registration of title at Land Registry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up files, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks;
  • Commissioning surveys and subsequent reports;
  • Liaising with surveyors, estate agents, clients, and other side solicitors;
  • Attending client meetings (video meetings at present) to take notes and action matters arising;
  • Liaising with clients and other professionals to assist the solicitor team;

Requirements:

  • Experience in setting up files, including AML checks;
  • Knowledge of commissioning surveys and subsequent reports;
  • Ability to liaise with surveyors, estate agents, clients, and other side solicitors;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
